About The Position

We are seeking an Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for production support and associated tasks, including monitoring individual queues, updating tickets according to SLAs, and collaborating with stakeholders to move tickets forward and provide effective resolutions. You will analyze, debug, and troubleshoot software programs and applications, performing timely and accurate fixes for software errors, and participating in software upgrades, revisions, and patches. You will also maintain and provide production support for existing systems, engage with various stakeholders to provide ticket updates, and guide developers on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. Additionally, you will build and maintain a document repository with global partners, and work as part of a cross-cultural team with flexibility to support multiple locations. Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation, are essential, as is the ability to work independently or as part of a team. On-call production support is also required.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience debugging Oracle PL/SQL and writing advanced level queries, specifically in Oracle PL/SQL.
  • 7+ Years of software development experience in Java 11, Spring Boot, JPA, RESTful services.
  • Experience with integrating different systems using Java Spring and JPA, RESTful.
  • Must have experience with the latest versions of Java Spring Boot and JPA.
  • Tools: Maven, Ant, Grunt, Eclipse, Jira, Bitbucket, Git.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment coordinating with internal customers to help support and enhance business systems.
  • Contributes to process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment including the ability to work collaboratively with business users.
  • Ability to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
  • Typically resolves complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist.
  • Works independently.

Responsibilities

  • Working in production support and associated tasks like monitoring of the individual queues, ticket updates as per SLA, working with stakeholders to take the tickets forward and provide effective resolution.
