About The Position

This role involves applying engineering expertise to support sealing solutions across static and dynamic applications, including O-rings and emerging electrification/eMobility technologies. The engineer will analyze warranty data, field performance, and teardown findings to identify root causes and drive continuous quality improvements. Collaboration with internal experts and external customers is key to solving technical challenges. The position also requires supporting customer programs and component reviews, developing and updating seal designs using CAD tools, and leading problem-solving initiatives. The Application Engineer will act as a technical partner to assigned customers, promoting solutions, identifying conversion opportunities, and delivering product training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and application documentation.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or NX.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with customers.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering expertise to support sealing solutions across static and dynamic applications, including O-rings and emerging electrification/eMobility technologies.
• Analyze warranty data, field performance, and teardown findings to identify root causes and drive continuous quality improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal experts (materials, tribology, CAE, and program management) and external customers to solve technical challenges.
• Support customer programs and component reviews by providing technical input in program management meetings.
• Develop and update seal designs using 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX) to meet application requirements.
• Lead or support problem-solving initiatives, including corrective actions, plant quality alignment, and VA/VE cost reduction projects.
• Act as a technical partner to assigned customers—promoting solutions, identifying conversion opportunities, and delivering product training and application expertise.
