This position supports the external and intercompany customer needs in the market by supporting independent sales representatives, regional sales managers, key accounts, and end customers.

Requirements

Bachelors Engineering degree in Mechanical or related engineering discipline
Minimum of 2 years in a sales/process engineering role
Ability to obtain and maintain a proficient level of product/service/customer base knowledge.
Ease in establishing and maintaining productive relationships both internally and externally
Experience in leading, developing and mentoring a professional team, providing hands-on support and influence through a continuous improvement mindset
Strong written and oral communication skills – an active listener with proven collaboration skills.
High competency w/ Microsoft Office Products: Word, Office, Excel, Powerpoint
Accomplished multi-tasker able to prioritize large volume of activity
Demonstrated technical know-how, analytical skills, and mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations including timely delivery of ETO orders and quotes, customer ETO related inquiries, and channel partner ETO technical support.
Drive team development, process improvements and KPI expectations through effective and proactive leadership.
Develop vacuum expertise personally and within the AE department.
Prepare ETO vacuum quotations and enter vacuum orders.
Develop and execute standard work to reduce vacuum order complexity.
Develop a process to reduce time to quote by 50%.
Cross-train team on all ETO products.
Ensure standard work is in place and being adhered to.
Manage performance evaluation process, team development and succession planning.
Other duties as assigned per the Mechanical Engineering Manager
Observe all Howden safety standards and ensure department compliance.
