About The Position

Under the direction of the MPD Director of Engineering, this position has responsibility for product and concept application support from Engineering to Sales and Marketing. The role involves interfacing and communicating between Engineering and Sales, articulating technology application and product use, identifying customer needs, and supporting Engineering's design and development of new products. Additionally, the Application Engineer will support Sales in resolving customer issues and may be assigned other engineering workload duties.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Very good Customer Service and/or Sales Support experience.
Proficient in MS Office.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident) due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

EE degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Interface and communicate between Engineering and Sales.
Articulate technology application and product use to Sales team and sometimes customers.
Identify customer's needs from Sale’s inputs and facilitate Engineering support to Sales/Customer.
Support Engineering’s design and development of new products through the gathering and organizing of documentation and communications.
Support Sales to resolve customer issues or difficulties.
Perform other duties as assigned, to include Engineering workload (i.e. clerical, analytical, and or manufacturing).
