Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Construction, Sales, Marketing or related field preferred)
  • Proven experience in sales, technical sales, or field applications within construction, insulation, fire protection, or industrial markets.
  • Strong knowledge of Passive Fire Protection systems, insulation products, or related applications preferred.
  • Experience working with contractors, installers, or construction stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high level of travel.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understands key decision drivers of installers, contractors, and specifiers.
  • Demonstrates value through performance, compliance, and total cost of ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Drive demand and specification of Passive Fire Protection (PFP) systems by building direct relationships with installers, contractors, engineers, and architects.
  • Reduce reliance on distributor-driven demand by influencing specification and creating pull-through opportunities.
  • Support growth of FireMaster FastWrap XLS, and broader PFP portfolio through technical selling, training, and field engagement.
  • Act as a technical and commercial liaison between end-users, specifiers, and internal teams.
  • Accountability for driving PFP sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with installers, mechanical contractors, firestop contractors, engineers, architects, and inspectors.
  • Conduct installer and union training sessions to promote proper installation practices and increase product adoption.
  • Identify, develop, and track project-based opportunities, ensuring conversion from specification to order.
  • Provide technical support, including system recommendations, submittments, and application guidance.
  • Influence specifications by working with engineers, consultants, and key decision-makers early in the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with distributors to ensure alignment on project execution, inventory availability, and customer support.
  • Utilize value selling techniques to position Thermal Ceramics’ PFP systems based on performance, compliance, and labor efficiency.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge, including PFP systems, UL/Intertek listings, and application requirements.
  • Communicate across internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Applications Engineering) to support business development.
  • Track and report pipeline activity, forecasts, and market intelligence in CRM.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide insights on market trends, customer needs, and product gaps.
