About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Application Engineer IV to join our team! This role involves designing software tools and subsystems, managing software development, estimating costs and schedules, and refining existing programs. The engineer will also monitor the analytic environment, perform security patching, maintain documentation, automate tasks, and evaluate solutions.

Requirements

• Eight (8) years of experience supporting projects and programs similar in scope and complexity
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Kubernetes
• Apache Spark
• Apache AirFlow
• Docker Container Management (Registry/Harbor)
• Linux
• AWS
• Knowledge of Cyber Security
• Knowledge of Networking (Routers/Firewalls)

Responsibilities

• Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation.
• Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
• Estimate software development costs and schedule.
• Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.
• Help monitor the health and status of the analytic environment to perform security patching and updates, maintain up-to-date documentation, automate routine tasks through scripting, and evaluate and recommend solutions based on open source or commercial options.
