About The Position

Wolters Kluwer DXG U.S., Inc. seeks an Architect - Application/Product IV to design and implement performance solutions that optimize system architecture for scalability, reliability, and efficiency. The role involves developing and utilizing performance models to analyze system behavior, scalability risks, and predict performance outcomes under various conditions. The architect will collaborate with engineering teams to optimize and characterize new components, functions, and architectures to enhance overall system performance. Responsibilities include continuously monitoring system performance, leading triage efforts for performance or availability issues, establishing and evangelizing best practices for performance optimization (including cloud-related optimizations and reliability improvements), and providing guidance on architecture choices based on performance results and analysis to ensure systems meet non-functional requirements. The role also requires communicating performance strategies with colleagues and management. Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Performance Test Engineer, IT Architect, or related occupation
  • 7 years of experience in Systems architecture design
  • 7 years of experience in Performance testing
  • 7 years of experience with Apache, JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
  • 7 years of experience with Multithreading, caching, and algorithm design
  • 7 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • 7 years of experience in Data Analysis
  • 7 years of experience in Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks
  • 7 years of experience in Setting up benchmarks, interpreting data, and reporting findings

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement performance solutions that optimize system architecture for scalability, reliability, and efficiency
  • Develop and utilize performance models to analyze system behavior, scalability risks and predict performance outcomes under various conditions
  • Work with engineering teams to optimize and characterize new components, functions, and architectures to enhance overall system performance
  • Continuously monitor system performance and lead triage efforts when performance or availability issues arise
  • Establish and evangelize best practices for performance optimization, including cloud-related optimizations and reliability improvements
  • Provide guidance on architecture choices based on performance results and analysis, ensuring that the system meets non-functional requirements
