About The Position

This is an opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet. The role involves developing technical proposals, sales presentations, and responding to technical questions regarding the organization's products, systems, or services. The Application Engineer will estimate costs, resources, time, and technical requirements for modifying, configuring, and installing products and services to meet customer needs. This role requires close liaison with hardware, software, and systems design engineers to ensure successful implementation. The engineer will also respond to customer inquiries, troubleshoot technical problems, and train customers on purchased products or services. The position is located in Midland, TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US, no Visa sponsorship offered for this position.
  • Expertise to provide technical advice during larger or difficult negotiations, or with customer who are of strategic importance to the organization.
  • Interact politely and professionally with customers and /or coworkers.
  • Strong customer skills including the ability to explain and train.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical proposals of how the organization's products and services can meet customer needs and be integrated and implemented with the customer's existing systems and equipment.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and respond to technical questions regarding the organization's product, system, or service.
  • Estimate the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the organization's products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Liaise with hardware, software, and systems design engineers to ensure that products and services are modified, configured, and installed according to customer needs.
  • Respond to customer questions and troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical problems that arise during or after implementation.
  • Train customers on the features of the product or service they have purchased.
  • Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourage action assuring safe behavior; confront unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively.
  • Work in excess of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, as required to meet business needs.
  • Work in an unsupervised environment.
  • Use a computer to communicate, create, and access data.
