Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mineral processing applications and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Aggflow/Bruno, ERP/MRP systems, CAD, or engineering software is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Active membership in SME, CIM, or similar mining organizations.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
  • Experience with customer-focused service and managing ongoing client interactions.
  • Demonstrated initiative and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide timely and expert technical support on comminution equipment to customers, account managers, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring their crushing needs are met effectively.
  • Equipment Selection & Quoting: Select and size crushing equipment using simulation tools and internal systems, prepare accurate quotations, and maintain comprehensive documentation to support customer requirements.
  • Order Coordination: Manage original equipment order fulfillment by coordinating with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure smooth delivery and implementation.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as a technical intermediary between Weir technology groups, sharing regional needs, market trends, and product insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Customer Engagement & Presentations: Deliver technical presentations and support customer engagement at sites, key accounts, and trade shows, enhancing customer relationships and knowledge sharing.
  • Site Assessments & Troubleshooting: Conduct site visits, including international travel (~5%), to assess operations, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate on product and material improvements.
  • Documentation & CRM: Accurately document projects and communications using CRM tools such as Salesforce to maintain clear records and support ongoing client interactions.
