About The Position

The Application Developer III will design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications. The role requires strong expertise in modern Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, SQL, and stored procedures, as well as experience using AI-assisted coding tools to improve developer productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation. The position is in a hybrid work environment, with one day per week onsite; candidates must be local.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional application or software development experience.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java, including modern Java versions and features.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Spring Batch applications and batch-processing solutions.
• Advanced SQL knowledge, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SQL stored procedures.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, coding standards, and application architecture.
• Experience with source control and modern development practices, preferably Git/GitHub.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot or similar tools.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and application troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Must be a local candidate for the hybrid work arrangement.
