About The Position

Kinder Morgan, one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, is looking for IT Application Developer Analysts. This application development position resides within the Business Systems application team. The Business Systems application team develops and supports many custom solutions for approximately 79,000 miles of natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, and carbon dioxide (CO2) pipelines and over 139 terminals for storing and handling various chemicals and other products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required- IT Related experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality results using best-practice methods.
  • Experience with SQL Server Databases.
  • Strong database design, management, and data import/export skills in SQL Server environments.
  • SQL Development (Oracle and MSSQL preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.
  • Experience in .NET programming languages (VB.NET, C#, VBA) required
  • Experience with supporting third party applications.
  • Experience developing Win and Web Applications in .Net

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience supporting and developing applications and related systems in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
  • Experience in Data Visualization/Reporting (SSRS, PowerBI)
  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support various applications for Shared Services business functions (e.g. Finance, Legal, Procurement, etc.).
  • Participate in project meetings, provide input to project plans, and provide status updates.
  • Work with internal teams as well as vendors.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues.
  • Coding.
  • Testing.
  • Provide on-call support.
  • Development of .net, C#.
  • Analysis, design, coding, documentation, deployment, and support of custom applications.
  • Report writing.
  • SQL.
  • Software upgrades.
  • Data manipulation, extraction, and performance tuning.
  • Design and implement new or enhancements to existing budget, forecast, variance, and risk reports as well as others.
  • Identify opportunities and develop automated solutions to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the financial reporting / forecasting processes, as well as other Operational needs.
  • Accumulate, review and communicate financial information provided by multiple data sources and individuals.
  • Provide routine on-call support.
