The Application Developer 2 will partner with internal client groups to analyze requirements, design, develop, test, and implement software systems. This position will be responsible for modifying existing software, analyzing business requirements, and maintaining system or program documentation. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn. This role has responsibility for troubleshooting and fixing application issues that have been assigned. It also involves modifying existing applications and reports to correct issues or to adapt to new hardware/software versions. The developer will consult with internal development team members to evaluate software interfaces, develop specifications, and gather performance requirements. Additionally, they will prepare and maintain project and system documentation, provide updates to end users on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance, and support existing business processes. The role focuses primarily on the reasoning behind business processes and provides recommendations to improve those processes. In addition, this position will consult with internal employees to analyze potential project business requirements and determine how best to meet those requirements, evaluating whether a technological solution is appropriate. The developer will design, develop, test, and implement new applications and reports that meet the needs of the business and help resolve business problems. They will also consult with individual client groups building business requirements for assigned projects with more focus on internal employees and business processes.
