About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java development, Spring Boot, JDK 1.8/Java 8, and Spring Framework 4. This position requires a senior-level engineer who can work independently on complex applications while also contributing to architecture, design, development, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and ongoing application support. The successful candidate should be comfortable working within established enterprise applications and technology stacks, including environments that may contain both modern Spring Boot services and applications built on earlier Java/Spring technologies. This is a hands-on software engineering position requiring more than framework familiarity. Candidates should be able to explain how Java and Spring applications actually operate, diagnose application problems, make sound design decisions, and safely modify existing production systems.

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering/application development experience
Strong hands-on Java development
Strong Spring Boot experience
Hands-on experience with JDK 1.8 / Java 8
Hands-on experience with Spring Framework 4
Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development
Ability to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise applications
Ability to analyze existing applications and safely implement enhancements
Strong debugging and production problem-solving capabilities
Experience translating business or functional requirements into technical solutions
Ability to work independently on complex assignments

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
Develop and support applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
Work effectively within applications utilizing JDK 1.8 and Spring 4 technology.
Analyze existing codebases and identify appropriate approaches for enhancements and defect resolution.
Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical designs and implementations.
Develop maintainable, testable, and reliable software components.
Troubleshoot complex application and production problems.
Participate in application testing, validation, deployment, and release activities.
Research and document technical requirements, application behavior, and proposed solutions.
Develop detailed technical specifications where required.
Identify opportunities to improve application performance, stability, maintainability, and development efficiency.
Collaborate with business analysts, engineers, architects, QA personnel, application support teams, and other technology stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and subject-matter expertise within the assigned technology area.
Communicate development progress, technical risks, issues, and dependencies to project and technical leadership.
Support applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
