About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking an Application Analyst to support one or more healthcare, administrative, or financial products or applications. This role involves handling day-to-day operational issues, break/fix, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and on-call rotations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in REDCap and will support the MyCap Mobile App, assisting end-users, processing requests, and performing administrative actions. The position involves designing, configuring, and testing mobile apps and REDCap to support various workflows, analyzing workflows and their relationship to the technical environment, and potentially performing analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures. Responsibilities also include supporting implementations, testing, QA, reporting, product life cycle management, communication with stakeholders, and user training. This role works normal business hours Monday-Friday and is offered as an in-person or remote option.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years relevant work experience
  • Proficient in REDCap
  • Understands the product in relation to other company products.
  • Has general knowledge of the competition for the product in the marketplace.
  • Understands the product life cycle from development through sales and customer support.
  • Can describe product features and benefits using key product terminology.
  • Understands customers' business operations beyond single issues driving a project.

  • Can effectively explain how to reproduce and analyze errors, as well as identify the type of error including coding, design issue and hardware.

  • Demonstrates ability to analyze and develop solutions to moderately complex clinical, administrative, financial, operational, and/or technical issues related to assigned product(s).
  • Capable to design, build, configure, install, run reports, and perform maintenance support as instructed.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the MyCap Mobile App, a feature of the REDCap software application, at VUMC by assisting end-users using the application, processing end-user requests, and other administrative actions within the application.
  • Designs, configures, and tests mobile apps and REDCap to support research, clinical, administrative, financial and operational workflows.
  • Analyzes research, clinical, administrative, financial or operational workflows supported by the assigned products and their relationship to the technical environment in which they operate.
  • May perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures.
  • Supports research, clinical, administrative, financial, revenue, or operational implementations for assigned products which may also include testing and QA, reporting, product life cycle, communication/collaboration with developers, customers and vendors, and training users.
