About The Position

This Application Analyst role supports the Office of Administrative System Transformation (OAST) through consultation, process improvement, and digital transformation. The analyst will provide functional expertise on OAST software applications, evaluate business processes, develop innovative solutions, and optimize applications for efficiency and enhanced user experience. They will maintain knowledge of existing systems and core domain operations, and potentially be certified in the vended application. The role involves understanding strategic product direction, configuring and modifying applications, validating data integrity and system changes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The analyst will resolve customer issues, provide support for system implementations, and contribute to content for FAQs, job aids, and training materials. They will also research requests, elicit requirements from customers, and act as a liaison between clinical, business, and technical areas. Participation in data governance and business meetings is expected, along with the ability to translate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders. Project management for small to mid-sized projects and contribution to testing activities are also key responsibilities. On-call support may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of degree, H.S. Diploma and 8 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Relevant experience is considered in administrative areas such as HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Healthcare, or Information Technology.
  • Must be customer-service oriented, timely in responses to requests for service/information, able to manage multiple tasks, teams and/or priorities, and able to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle Fusion HCM experience (highly recommended)
  • Experience with Oracle HCM quarterly release management and testing (recommended)
  • Experience with Visual Builder, OGL, HCM Configuration and OIC/BIP (recommended)
  • Previous healthcare experience and knowledge of administrative systems preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with project management, systems analysis and design, software testing, process management or engineering, systems documentation preparation, and data management and analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the long-term goals of the Office of Administrative System Transformation (OAST) through consultation, process improvement and digital transformation.
  • Provide functional expertise on OAST software applications.
  • Evaluate business processes and make recommendations.
  • Develop innovative solutions and improve processes using digital standards and technology.
  • Support software programs or modules across multiple business and/or other functions.
  • Understand the business environment and the impact IT can have on it.
  • Provide analysis and support for installed systems as well as system implementation and integration projects.
  • Optimize the application and end-to-end processes to achieve efficiency and enhanced end-user experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of existing systems and core domain operations (e.g., Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Scheduling) and be certified in the vended application, as required.
  • Understand strategic product direction to inform Mayo product roadmaps.
  • Configure, design, develop, or modify applications via vendor tools or augmented tools developed within Mayo Clinic and validate data integrity of changes introduced.
  • Validate system changes align with stakeholders’ needs / requirements to ensure completeness, correctness, and clarity.
  • Validate solution to ensure it satisfies the stated requirements.
  • Provide software quality assurance services for projects and systems and ensure regulatory compliance as it applies to software support for the business areas served.
  • Resolve customer problems with software and respond to requested improvements and enhancements.
  • Provide or review content for updating FAQs, job aids, and training materials.
  • Research requests to determine scope, size, and impact.
  • Work with customers to elicit requirements through a variety of techniques.
  • Function as a liaison between clinical, business, and technical areas throughout the lifecycle of the system, including transformation efforts.
  • Support and participate in data governance, reference data management, and/or data standards.
  • Participate actively in business meetings, which may include participants of various levels and roles throughout Mayo Clinic.
  • Possess ability to logically translate and disseminate technology insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build credibility and rapport with customers to understand their needs.
  • Manage small- to mid-sized projects.
  • Contribute to software and end-to-end process testing activities.
  • May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.
