About The Position

The Application Administrator uses relevant work experience to supports and enables the business through day-to- day administration and user support of Service Now. This individual partners extensively with our internal customers across the business, within IT, as well as with third party hosting partners and external consultants, while monitoring system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability. The Application Administrator coordinates new software releases, fixes and upgrades with technical teams and users and recommends new features or changes to configuration/ workflows based on user feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field of study required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered
  • Minimum of three years of related experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Service Now preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the reliable performance of the specific system assigned
  • Troubleshoots and resolves any related hardware, software, user access or other problems
  • Key participant in any issue or outage analysis and resolution, in conjunction with support team, third party hosting provider, and consultants
  • Monitors system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability
  • Where applicable, monitors and manages application costs including licenses, consulting, and hosting costs
  • Coordinates new software releases, fixes and upgrades with technical teams and users
  • Recommends new features or changes to configuration/ workflows based on user feedback
  • Participates in projects to gather user requirements, design, configure, test and implement system specific changes
  • Works with the other Application Administrators to learn complex tasks
  • While a highly self-directed Otter will thrive, they will be occasionally directed in several aspects of the work by the other, more experienced Administrators
  • Planned and unplanned evening and weekend work is required
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment
