About The Position

Lighthouse has great opportunities for high school students! Many of these start in late summer or fall, but we accept applications year round. We are hiring for several apprentice and assistant roles within our automotive service departments. These roles offer hands-on training and a chance to work with skilled professionals, with opportunities for advancement into full-time positions and further certifications or degree programs. We are looking for motivated individuals who are at least 16 years of age and can meet the availability requirements for each role. Pay begins at $15/hr and increases with training and experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Part-time availability during the weekday.
• Applicants without a resume or completed application will not be considered.
• Include any work history (even volunteer) when filling out work history.

Nice To Haves

• Saturday availability preferred for Sales Assistant role.
• Motivated applicants with Saturday-only availability may still apply for Sales Assistant role.

Responsibilities

• Train as a Technician Apprentice in auto repair, starting with the basics and working with skilled technicians.
• Gain an introduction to service repair in the auto trade.
• Support the work of the sales team with tasks such as advertising (taking photos of vehicles), inventory management, and deal prep (paperwork and computer skills).
• Train as a Technician focusing on auto body work, starting with the basics and working with skilled technicians.
• Gain an introduction to auto body repair at our Collision Center.
