About The Position
Provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for residential and commercial appliances. Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and advise customers to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent education.
- Completion of relevant technical training, trade program, or equivalent on-the-job experience in appliance repair.
- At least one year of practical experience servicing residential or commercial appliances or related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service schematics.
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Strong communication skills and legal authorization to work in Canada.

- Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and appliance diagnostic equipment.
- Basic electrical knowledge including wiring, circuitry, and component testing.

Responsibilities
- Inspect appliances to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Perform repairs, replace parts, and adjust components to restore appliance function and meet manufacturer specifications.
- Install new appliances, complete setup and calibration, and verify proper operation after installation.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, safety checks, and routine servicing to extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory logs, and job documentation for billing and warranty purposes.
- Communicate repair plans, cost estimates, and maintenance recommendations to customers in a clear and professional manner.
