About The Position

We offer a wide variety of kitchen and laundry appliances and customizable solutions that appeal to custom home builders, kitchen designers, home remodelers, property managers, and homeowners throughout the region. Our showrooms display brands and styles, allowing customers to compare products, explore options, and make purchases. They are staffed with experienced inside sales professionals who use a consultative and relationship-building approach to selling appliances. We are seeking an experienced full-time Appliance Lead Installer to join our installation team at our Easton, MD, location and to support our surrounding Eastern Shore areas. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering and installing luxury appliances in residential and commercial settings. The lead installer oversees installation projects, leads and mentors installation team members, and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and manufacturer standards. As a lead installer, you will be responsible for effectively and independently performing appliance installations, coordinating with team members, supervisors, and clients, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, ensures every customer interaction reflects high standards, and leads by example. This individual has strong technical skills, can effectively train and mentor team members, and communicates professionally with customers, contractors, vendors, and trade partners.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required with an acceptable driving record
  • DOT (or the ability to obtain one upon hire)
  • Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check, consistent with applicable laws
  • Ability to safely assist and perform installations of various high-end kitchen appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, washing machines, dryers, and more
  • From time to time, handle and transport large appliances safely and securely
  • Ability to lift and move heavy appliances up to 100 lbs independently and maneuver larger loads with assistance
  • Push, pull, lift, and move loads up to 1,000 pounds with assistance (using straps, dollies, and team support)
  • Load/unload appliances from trucks
  • Strong mechanical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Previous appliance experience required
  • Knowledge of appliance installation requirements, manufacturers' specifications, and industry best practices
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years of appliance installation experience preferred
  • Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring installation team members preferred
  • Previous appliance; luxury or high-end appliance preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
