About The Position

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an Appellate Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Seattle office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in handling sophisticated appeals and high-stakes legal issues for clients across a broad range of industries.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of appellate litigation, complex commercial litigation, or judicial clerkship experience gained at a sophisticated law firm or appellate court.
  • Experience drafting appellate briefs, dispositive motions, petitions, legal memoranda, and other complex written advocacy.
  • Experience handling appeals in state and federal appellate courts.
  • Experience conducting complex legal research and developing innovative legal arguments involving significant procedural and substantive issues.
  • Exceptional legal writing, analytical, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated appellate matters while maintaining significant client interaction.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required.
  • Washington bar admission required or ability to become admitted.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preserving appellate issues throughout trial court proceedings is preferred.
  • Experience assisting with oral arguments, trial strategy, and post-trial motions is a plus.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is highly valued.
