About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Appellate Practice in its New York, New York office. The firm’s national Appellate Practice handles matters in federal and state courts across the country, including the Supreme Court of the United States. Its attorneys handle civil appeals and extraordinary relief proceedings across a wide range of legal areas, including class action and mass tort, commercial litigation, construction, elder law, employment, healthcare, insurance coverage and bad faith, products liability, intellectual property, and toxic torts and environmental litigation. The successful candidate will evaluate trial records, write effective briefs, analyze and frame factual and legal issues in light of the appellate standard of review, conduct legal research, and present oral argument. The position requires appellate experience, knowledge of state and federal civil and appellate procedure, strong advocacy and writing skills, and admission to the New York Bar. The listed salary range is $135,000 to $220,000 per year.

Requirements
