About The Position

Kubicki Draper is seeking an Appellate Associate Attorney to join our Tampa office. We are looking for a motivated attorney with 2+ years of experience who possesses exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills. We will also consider recent law school graduates with strong academic credentials and Moot Court and/or Law Review experience who are interested in developing a career in appellate law. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established firm, work on sophisticated legal matters, and continue developing your skills alongside experienced attorneys.

Requirements

2+ years of experience
Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong academic credentials
Exceptional legal research and writing skills
Strong and persuasive oral advocacy skills
Highly organized with clear and effective communication skills
Client-focused approach and commitment to providing excellent service
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and interested in long-term professional growth
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Westlaw
Licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar

Nice To Haves

Recent law school graduates with strong academic credentials and Moot Court and/or Law Review experience
Judicial clerkship experience preferred
Prior appellate and/or insurance coverage experience preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct complex legal research and analysis involving civil law matters
Draft and edit appellate briefs
Draft and review pleadings, motions, responses, and other legal documents
Conduct insurance coverage analysis
Assist with appellate strategy and case development
Collaborate with attorneys throughout the firm on complex legal and appellate issues
