Apparel Sales Representative - Nassau County, New York
About The Position
Varsity Spirit, a Varsity Brands Company, is seeking an Apparel Sales Representative for Nassau County, New York. This is a full-time, outside sales, hybrid position where sales activity takes place across a home office, local schools, community events, and in-person meetings with clients. The role requires the representative to live within or in close proximity to the assigned territory and regularly travel throughout it to manage client relationships and maximize sales opportunities. The Sales Representative will be passionate about fashion, enjoy working one-on-one with customers, and thrive in a sales environment. They will be committed to creating memorable experiences for customers and transforming young people into leaders, representing Varsity Brands by demonstrating company core values and driving the highest ethical standards of conduct.
Requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to grasp new technology and understanding of Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge of cheer and dance industry
- Willingness to learn in-depth product construction, technicalities and pricing
- Cultivate an in-home office that is distraction-free
- Ensure reliable travel for regular face-to-face touch points
- Organization and follow through
- Personal Effectiveness/Credibility
- Ability to generate leads, forecast sales cycle, anticipate problems, and create effective solutions, with an aspiration to meet and exceed sales goals
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in an administrative support role for at least 2 years
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling walking and driving will all occur on a regular basis
- Must be able to lift 15-30 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business education or related field preferred
- Industry Experience preferred
