About The Position

The Parts & Apparel Dept. Cashier is responsible for greeting and assisting all walk-in guests, processing cashiering transactions with excellent service, providing add-on suggestions, and reducing wait times. This role involves recording guest and transaction information in Lightspeed, following company security procedures, and completing daily checklist tasks. The cashier will also cover the receptionist station, maintain the cashier station and assigned section (ensuring cleanliness, proper labeling, organization, and appealing merchandising of sale items), monitor inventory for suspicious activity, assist with returns and exchanges, serve as back-up receptionist/apparel sales personnel, stay updated on products, and process warranty claims.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Solid communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Computer literacy.
Interest or experience in sales and Powersports industry.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist all walk-in guests.
Process cashiering transactions with great service.
Provide add-on suggestions and decrease in-line wait time.
Record all guest and transaction information in Lightspeed.
Follow company security processes to ensure accuracy, including phone transactions.
Complete daily checklist tasks.
Cover receptionist station.
Maintain cashier station and specific assigned section (clean, price label, organized, older or overstocked inventory placed on sale & merchandised in an appealing manner).
Monitor all inventory and report suspicious activity such as theft to manager immediately.
Review daily checklist.
Restock cashier station essentials.
Assist guests with returns or exchanges.
Serve as back-up receptionist/apparel sales personnel.
Research/stay up to date with all current model year units & new products.
Continually train/review basic selling skills and advance closing techniques.
Process warranty claims on products.
