About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a world-class customer service commitment and helps ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience. The associate demonstrates products, maintains product knowledge through ongoing training, replenishes and restocks merchandise, maintains pricing and signage, and assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves. The associate helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position operates under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, or fingers; operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment; work in tight or confined spaces; and work in noisy environments.

• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
