About The Position

Southcoast Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Plastic Surgery team in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The role evaluates, cares for, and manages patients in outpatient and/or inpatient settings, and may assist in an operating room, in accordance with Massachusetts regulations. The position reports to the Practice Administrator, Surgical Specialties, with a dotted-line relationship to the plastic surgeons it supports. This is a part-time position scheduled for 24 hours per week on the day shift, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. The pay range is $65.29–$84.80 per hour. Requirements

For Physician Assistants: a bachelor's degree in a related field.
For Physician Assistants: graduation from an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program.
Certification from a national accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, as applicable.
For Nurse Practitioners: a Master of Science degree in Nursing.
For Nurse Practitioners: current Massachusetts R.N. registration and authorization to practice in an expanded role.
A Nurse Practitioner Certificate or Physician Assistant Certificate, as applicable.
First Assist certification for the Nurse Practitioner.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
More than 3 months of experience.
For Physician Assistants: authorization to practice under a Massachusetts Physician Assistant license.
Completion of continuing medical education (CME) requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, care for, and manage patients in an outpatient clinic and/or inpatient setting.
Assist in an operating room setting, in accordance with Massachusetts regulations.
