About The Position
This fellowship program is designed for Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (APP) and focuses on providing advanced training in a Level 1 Trauma Center for adults and pediatrics. The program includes experience at an ELSO Gold Center of Excellence for ECMO and a Level IV NICU with an NNP transport team. Fellows will rotate through various adult critical care units, including trauma services and CVICU, as well as a mixed PICU with cardiac and medical ICU services. Procedural training covers intubation, central lines, arterial lines, PICC lines, thoracostomy, and more.
Requirements
- Must be an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (APP).
Responsibilities
- Gain experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center for adults and pediatrics.
- Work within an ELSO Gold Center of Excellence for ECMO.
- Participate in a Level IV NICU with an NNP transport team.
- Complete adult critical care rotations through all ICUs, including trauma services and CVICU.
- Engage in mixed PICU rotations with cardiac and medical ICU services.
- Receive procedural training including intubation, central lines, arterial lines, PICC lines, and thoracostomy.
