An experienced APP with oncology background is needed to help workup patients in the cancer center diagnostic clinic. The APP will work to expedite procedures and diagnostics such as imaging and biopsies to help identify new and suspected cancers as well as unknown primaries to then help direct the patient to the appropriate specialty. The APP should have a strong background in diagnostics and interpretation of ordered tests and eventually feel comfortable working very independently. Consistent, ongoing support and oversight provided by fellow APPs and supervising MDs as well as a robust orientation for the hired APP will be provided. This is a Stanford Health Care job. Specific functions pertaining to the Service, Clinic or Department are established by the PA and his/her supervising physician(s), and approved by the appropriate medical and nursing administrators, the IDPC, the Credentials & Privileges Committee, the Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC) Medical Executive Committee and the SHC Board Credentials, Policies and Procedures Committee.
