About The Position

We are seeking an experienced API Tester with a strong background in API testing, JMeter, and GCP. The ideal candidate will have experience in the banking/finance industry and be proficient in testing microservices architectures. This is a contract role located in Austin, TX or Dallas, TX.

Requirements

• 3-8+ years of experience in API testing
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter
• Experience testing microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, OAuth, JWT
• Experience working with GCP-hosted applications
• SQL & basic data validation skills
• Banking/Finance experience is a must

Nice To Haves

• Experience with tools like Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Swagger/OpenAPI
• Knowledge of containers (Docker) and Kubernetes (GKE)
• Familiarity with Apigee or API Gateway
• Scripting knowledge (Java, Python, Groovy, or JavaScript)
• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform API testing with a focus on performance and functionality.
• Utilize Apache JMeter for load and performance testing.
• Test microservices architectures to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Validate API responses and data integrity.
• Work with GCP-hosted applications and services.
• Conduct SQL queries for data validation.
