About the position
The Technical Support Engineer - Voice role at Vonage involves providing top-tier technical support to customers integrating Voice communication APIs and SIP trunking products. The engineer will investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to these products, while effectively communicating with customers and internal stakeholders. They will contribute to knowledge bases, collaborate with their team to identify bugs, and possess a good understanding of protocols such as SIP. This role requires experience in technical support or developer support in the telecommunications or technology sectors, as well as proficiency in troubleshooting RESTful APIs and/or VoIP implementations.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Voice API and SIP products
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to internal and external knowledge bases
- Collaborate with team to identify and escalate bugs to next-level support
- Communicate well with different audiences (developers, technical and non-technical users)
- Experience as a Technical Support Engineer or Developer Support Engineer in telecommunications or technology sectors
- Excellent knowledge and experience in troubleshooting RESTful APIs and/or VoIP implementations
- Good understanding of protocols such as SIP and proficiency in troubleshooting using packet capture tools
- Experience in proprietary server-side log analysis and critical thinking skills
Requirements
