About The Position

This role focuses on leading API automation and performance testing initiatives. The API Lead will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end performance testing solutions, developing custom scripts, conducting advanced performance diagnostics, and leading automation testing efforts. Collaboration with development, DevOps, and architecture teams is crucial for identifying and mitigating scalability risks. The position also involves mentoring QA engineers and conducting technical reviews.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in creating and configuring mock APIs using SoapUI.
  • Experience in designing and implementing end-to-end performance testing solutions.
  • Experience with capacity planning, workload modeling, and observability dashboard setup.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining custom JMeter scripts for API performance testing.
  • Experience with reusable and scalable framework design for performance testing.
  • Experience performing advanced performance diagnostics including memory analysis, heap dump analysis, thread dump analysis, memory profiling, and CPU profiling.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis of performance bottlenecks using Kibana, Kubernetes, and application monitoring tools.
  • Experience leading API automation testing initiatives using parameterization, dynamic assertions, correlation, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Experience integrating performance and automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions).
  • Experience analyzing system performance metrics including response time, throughput, latency, and resource utilization.
  • Experience defining performance SLAs, benchmarking standards, and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
  • Experience collaborating with Development, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
  • Experience providing performance tuning recommendations at application, JVM, database, and infrastructure levels.
  • Experience reviewing and validating API contracts (Swagger/OpenAPI).
  • Experience mentoring QA engineers and leading technical reviews.

Responsibilities
