About The Position

CGI is looking for an API Technical Lead. This role requires the candidate to be based in Pittsburgh, PA, or Dallas, TX, and work on-site with the client five days a week. Sponsorship for immigration-related visas and green card status through the PERM process will not be available for this position.

Requirements

  • At least 9+ years of Java API development using Springboot, with hands-on troubleshooting and deployment experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a lead and driving high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Open Shift Container Platform and Kubernetes.
  • Experience integrating Java-based applications with Mongo DB.
  • Demonstrated strong design and programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL in Unix and Windows environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams and in an Agile environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Kafka will be a huge value add.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the team with the client.
  • Ensure sound and high-quality technical deliverables.
  • Drive the direction and roadmap for the microservices architecture.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex situations and drive outcomes.
  • Offer technical guidance and architectural assistance around Kafka, Microservices, and Mongo DB integrations.
  • Assist other team members with technical queries, guiding and mentoring them to develop top-quality code.
  • Work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing business needs and requirements.
  • Be hands-on to develop or fix issues to ensure timely delivery with the highest quality.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and the entire Tech team.
  • Guide team members in creating test plans and ensuring issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested.
  • Develop incorporating best practices.
