About The Position

Turner Specialty Services is looking for an experienced API 653 Tank Inspector for a position in the Westlake, LA area. This role will perform duties associated with NDE of materials in accordance to referencing code. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Site Manager and involves close supervision with assigned duties according to specific procedures, with work being checked frequently.

Requirements

Valid NDE certifications and relevant experience
TWIC required
API 653 certification is required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, turnaround environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation

Nice To Haves

Additional API certifications are recommended: API 510/570
NDE background preferred

Responsibilities

Perform Monthly Compliance Inspections, including Internal and External Inspections.
Generate inspection reports from Internal and External inspections.
Generate Repair Recommendations from Internal and External inspections.
Work with Fixed Engineers to generate repair scopes.
Work with repair companies to follow and document all repairs.
Assist in performing duties associated with NDE of materials in accordance with reference code.
Assist with nondestructive testing equipment set-up.
Assist in calibrating nondestructive testing equipment.
Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance with procedures and standards.
Assist in performing other job-related tasks as assigned by certified inspector/technician.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
