About The Position

Prepare and compile discovery for felony case files; submitted to the District Attorney's office for prosecution; track and follow up on previous cases submitted for additional discovery. Requirements

  • Associates Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two (2) years experience in law enforcement, security, legal, or investigative work.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality related to cases and incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare case files for discovery; submit to the District Attorney's office.
  • Review reports, documentation and/or other items needed for discovery; evaluate the need for additional information.
  • Assist the District Attorney's office in gathering additional information and documentation needed for prosecution.
  • Communicate with the District Attorney's office regarding status.
  • Coordinate with Detectives and Officers to obtain documentation.
  • Conduct research and compile necessary information from a variety of databases.
  • Contact various Law Enforcement agencies and local business to obtain items needed for discovery.
  • Maintain confidentiality related to cases and incidents.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Complete the mission of the Department.
