About The Position

The role will review APDs, provide detailed feedback, draft CMS submittal letters, and ensure all materials meet federal expectations. The position requires strong stakeholder engagement, project coordination, technical communication, writing, proofreading, and editing skills. The APD Writer will translate complex information into clear and accessible documentation and collaborate with project teams, technical teams, vendors, and budget offices to produce well-structured and timely APDs aligned with CMS guidelines and program requirements.

Requirements

  • Prior experience developing APDs or related documents, such as RFPs, RFIs, and contracts: 3+ Years
  • Working knowledge of government regulations related to grant proposals and APD writing: 3+ Years
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects: 5+ Years
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project Suite, MS Teams, Zoom, and project collaboration/tracking tools: 5+ Years
  • Ability to interpret Medicaid policies and ensure compliance with CMS regulations: 3+ Years
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills: 5+ Years
  • Project management, training, and facilitation experience: 5+ Years
  • Stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience: 5+ Years
  • Procurement, budgeting, or accounting experience: 5+ Years
  • Health IT proposals or healthcare technology environment experience: 5+ Years

  • Strong organizational and team-building skills: 5+ Years
  • Time management experience in high-stress writing environments: 3+ Years
  • NC Medicaid and/or NC HIEA experience: 3+ Years
