The ideal candidate is a compassionate caregiver who is interested in the long-term management of patients with chronic rheumatic diseases. The candidate will be an active member of the Department of Rheumatology and will be expected to provide routine rheumatological care and to enhance communication and education to rheumatic disease patients and, therefore, improve adherence, compliance, and treatment outcomes. In the same manner that staff Rheumatologists provide care in at least 3 different but adjacent geographical locations, the candidate will be expected to do the same. Knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases will be a plus, but it’s not essential. Coaching and hands-on training by the staff rheumatologists will be provided as necessary to the right candidate who wants to be a part of the growing Department of Rheumatology and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
