About The Position

As a Make Ready Technician at Gaines Investment Trust, you play a crucial role in ensuring that vacant apartments are prepared for new residents quickly and efficiently. Your attention to detail and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks contribute to a well-maintained and welcoming community while supporting high occupancy and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

• 1+ years of maintenance/make-ready experience in multifamily housing.
• A valid driver’s license (required).
• A passion for fixing and preparing apartments for rent.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• The ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• A positive attitude and strong communication skills with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in by completing make-ready tasks on schedule.
• Utilize general maintenance skills to complete basic service work orders efficiently.
• Maintain and service the community pool.
• Assist with property upkeep, ensuring strong curb appeal.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance and office teams to coordinate tasks.
• Provide helpful and caring customer service to residents.
• Foster a positive and professional work environment.
• Be reliable and available for scheduled rotational on-call emergency duty.
