Apartment Maintenance Technician
About The Position
We are actively searching for a skilled and enthusiastic Apartment Maintenance Technician to join the CVG Properties team in North Phoenix working at The Enclave at Paradise Valley Apartments. As a community maintenance team member, you will prepare vacant apartments for new residents, respond to and complete resident requests for maintenance and demonstrate a high-level of customer service at all times. The Maintenance Supervisor/Technician will work to ensure the community meets all safety standards, site appearance standards and that all apartments, equipment and amenities are maintained in good working order. Must be available full time and able to handle shared on call emergencies and responsibilities.
Requirements
- At least one year experience in apartment maintenance/property management
- HVAC experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read/write English
- Knowledge of working safely with power tools and electricity
- General knowledge of building codes and laws applicable to the community (i.e. Freon recovery, electrical, plumbing, swimming pools)
- Understand and abide by Fair Housing laws
Responsibilities
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
- Respond to and complete resident requests for maintenance
- Ensure the community meets all safety standards
- Ensure site appearance standards are met
- Maintain all apartments, equipment and amenities in good working order
- Handle shared on-call emergencies and responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, painting, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, blinds, ceiling fans, windows, locks, roofing, A/C and heat repair, pool/spa maintenance
- Complete turns
- Complete work order requests in a timely manner
- Perform other maintenance related job duties as assigned by the property manager and maintenance supervisor
- Participate in all mandatory training
- Accurately complete on-call and site inspection logs, service requests, pool logs and maintenance checklists in a timely manner
