About The Position
Red Oak Management Co., Inc. is seeking a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician to join their team in Cedar Springs and Kent City, MI. This role is responsible for ensuring residential properties are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for residents. The technician will complete work orders, collaborate with the property manager to maintain property appearance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and prepare units for new move-ins. The company has been a leader in affordable housing since 1984 and is committed to creating safe and welcoming communities.
Requirements
- Experience in facilities or residential maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, and plumbing
- Ability to work throughout the Cedar Springs and Kent City area
- Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities
- Complete work orders for residents to ensure their living spaces are well-maintained and comfortable.
- Work closely with the property manager to maintain an immaculate appearance at each site.
- Proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues before they escalate.
- Prepare units for new move-ins, creating a welcoming environment.
