About The Position

This position is for a Dual-Site Apartment Service Technician II at Windsor Communities, specifically serving Waterside Place by Windsor and The Victor by Windsor in Boston, MA. Waterside Place by Windsor is a high-rise community with 236 apartment homes, and The Victor by Windsor is a high-rise community with 286 apartment homes. Successful candidates can come from various backgrounds such as apartment maintenance, HVAC, general labor, construction, hotel maintenance, or general building maintenance. The role requires intermediate competency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and carpentry. The technician must be available for a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend emergency response. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with multifamily residential, commercial or hotel maintenance
  • Familiarity with building safety systems including the fire systems (sprinklers/alarms)
  • Ability to use smart devices and property management software for maintaining accurate records and work order completion
  • Advanced knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, some weekend work and ability to participate in the on-call rotations
  • EPA Type II preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and apply preventative measures with apartment homes, common areas, mechanical rooms, plumbing, electrical and appliance areas.

  • Be part of a rotating on call schedule for after hours and weekend emergency response.
