About The Position
CAPREIT is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and customer-oriented Maintenance Supervisor for its Stony Brook apartment community in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the community, ensuring efficient operations, and assisting office staff with resident and vendor interactions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of apartment maintenance experience
- A valid CFC with Type I and II or with Universal certification
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to respond to on-call emergencies, when needed
- Ability to provide your own basic tools
- Computer literacy skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace individual heating and A/C units, water heaters, appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, asphalt, building interiors and exteriors, drainage systems, and remodeling carpentry.
- Schedule service requests, prepare and schedule vacant turnovers, take inventory, order supplies, schedule contractors, establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program, and complete periodic inspections and capital improvements.
- Interact with residents, prospective residents, and vendors in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.
