Apartment Maintenance Service Technician
About The Position
Providence Real Estate is currently seeking an Apartment Maintenance Service Technician to join our team at 2211 Grand Isle Apartments in Brandon, FL. This full-time position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys maintaining a well-run residential community. 2211 Grand Isle is a 390-unit community, so this role offers plenty of variety and the chance to make a real impact on the day-to-day resident experience. This role supports the day-to-day maintenance operations of the property, helping ensure residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment. The technician will respond to service requests, assist with apartment turns, and perform a variety of repairs throughout the community. We are looking for someone with solid troubleshooting ability who can work independently while contributing positively to the property team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
- HVAC Certification Level II and Level III required
- Proven troubleshooting and repair skills across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs occasionally, climb stairs, and work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and responsibly, and meet deadlines
- Reliable transportation required
- Candidates should be dependable, organized, and comfortable handling a variety of maintenance tasks within a large, active residential property environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs
- Prepare apartments for move-in (make-readies) to company standards
- Complete service requests efficiently and document work order logs accurately
- Maintain curb appeal, common areas, and preventative maintenance schedules across the 390-unit community
- Follow EPA refrigerant reporting and log requirements
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for maintenance emergencies
- Communicate professionally with residents and the onsite team
