As a Maintenance Technician, you're at the center of that. The maintenance team makes or breaks how residents feel about where they live. A leak fixed fast, a friendly hello, a note saying what you did. Those small moments are why residents love living here, renew their leases and tell their friends and family to move in too. You won't just close work orders. You'll be the reason people want to stay.

Requirements

A heart for people and a "how can I help?" attitude
2+ years of apartment, property or building maintenance experience
Reliable communication
Comfortable using a work order system and a smartphone
Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and work outside in any weather
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation and your own basic hand tools
Available for on-call coverage on nights and weekends
Able to pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

Fix plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance issues and close the loop in Entrata with notes and photos.
Turn vacant apartments using the Make Ready checklist to ensure new residents have a place that feels like home on day one.
Handle preventative maintenance such as HVAC filters, caulking, plumbing inspections, and lock batteries.
Respond to emergencies like active leaks, loss of heat or A/C, fire system issues, and gas odors, stabilizing the situation, preventing damage, and making residents feel taken care of.
Share in a rotation for after-hours emergency on-call coverage on nights and weekends.
Clear snow and ice starting at 6:00 AM during winter to ensure walkways, entrances, and fire exits are safe.
Guard master keys and access codes, maintain locks and entry systems, and ensure community safety and security.
Knock, announce yourself, communicate with care, and maintain resident privacy.
Work with the office team and vendors, and keep the shop organized and ready.
