About The Position
Match Charter Public School is seeking an AP World History/World History Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is located at their high school campus in Brighton, Boston, MA. Match Charter Public School is a PreK-12 institution committed to preparing students, especially multilingual learners and first-generation college aspirants, for success in college and careers. The school serves a diverse student body of up to 1,250 students, with a significant percentage qualifying for special education services and English Language Learner support. Requirements
- At least two years of full-time experience as a classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting
- Hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire
- Believe that all students can and will succeed
- Have a desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback
- Have a proven record of student success and achievement
- Demonstrate an ability to work well on a team, and a willingness to support others in doing their best work
Responsibilities
- Teach four AP World History/World History classes
- Develop daily lessons aligned with the AP World History/World History curricula in collaboration with department colleagues and leadership team members
- Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there
- Participate actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming
- Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community
