About The Position

The AP Tax Compliance Associate Analyst supports Sales & Use Tax compliance activities by assisting with data preparation, return support, reconciliations, and documentation under close supervision. This role is intended for early‑career professionals developing foundational knowledge of US indirect tax compliance, systems, and procedures. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts and transactional data.
  • Advanced skills in the areas of oral and written communications, process controls, MS Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook), accounts payable and general accounting.
  • Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and learn new systems.
  • Flexible and adaptable and have the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude and maintain composure under stress.
  • A 'self-starter' and capable of working independently, taking initiative identifying and resolving issues, managing workload, and handling correspondence.
  • Possess good organization skills, ability to provide constant attention to detail, and have ability to apply quality control over a heavy volume work with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information entrusted to the position.
  • Due to government contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Introductory knowledge or coursework related to US Sales & Use Tax preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of routine US Sales & Use Tax returns and supporting schedules under supervision.
  • Compile, validate, and reconcile transactional data from ERP and source systems.
  • Support basic reconciliations and data reviews.
  • Review invoice and ledger data to identify potentially taxable transactions.
  • Compile documentation to support internal reviews, audits, and inquiries from taxing authorities.
  • Follow established procedures, controls, and documentation standards.
  • Escalate discrepancies, data issues, or unclear tax treatment to senior team members.
  • Participate in process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
