About The Position
As an AP Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in our Accounting Department’s day-to-day operations. We're looking for individuals who are ready to step in and take ownership of this role and make a real impact.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- 5+ years prior Accounts Payable experience
- Good communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Netsuite ERP is a plus
- Knowledge of Bill.com or similar payment tools is a plus
Responsibilities
- Processing of vendor invoices, including verification of charges and internal management approvals per company policy.
- Prepare weekly check run and ACH/ Wire requests.
- Record accounts payable transactions to appropriate GL accounts in NetSuite.
- Monitor and reconcile assigned company credit card activity.
- Import approved credit card activity to Netsuite ERP.
- Monitor recurring accounts payable activity for missed invoices/payments.
- Maintain AP files and records, to include invoice copies, tracking approved payment methods for each vendor and obtaining appropriate tax and insurance information from new payees.
- Assist with month end accounts payable reconciliations, including credit card and PO reconciliations. Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and tax requirements (i.e. 1099 reporting)
- Maintain accounts payable reports, including aging reports.
- Prepare cash forecasts
- Provide required documentation in support of annual audits.
