The Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Operator uses optical equipment to detect defects on cores, subs, and outer layer panels. The AOI Operator sets up the AOI equipment and scans manufacturing panels for defects. The AOI operator(s) are responsible for the scanning, verification, and identification of defects on all panels being processed. They will also utilize the post-etch punch to place tooling holes on all inner layer cores which are used for registration. There are a variety of possible job duties for the AOI area that the operators are expected to perform.
