The Antivirals Field Medical, Director is responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise for the designated therapeutic area across a broad range of external medical stakeholders (“EMS”) and initiatives in an assigned territory (typically comprised of one or more US states). This role involves planning and executing independent Medical strategy and engagement with external medical stakeholders, maintaining knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and Pfizer medicines, and serving as a conduit for Medical Information and stakeholder insights. The position also requires contributing to Medical educational content strategy, executing aligned Field Medical tactics, and collaborating with internal Pfizer colleagues. The role emphasizes optimizing patient care through Medical communications, adhering to all policies and compliance guidance, and educating stakeholders on disease state and guideline-based care to improve patient outcomes. Field Medical responsibilities include delivering approved medical content, educating on the clinical and economic impact of Pfizer medicines, providing objective medical information, executing projects and collaborations, and serving as the Medical lead for assigned external medical stakeholders. The role also involves engaging with healthcare organizations, collaborating with internal Pfizer teams, identifying and engaging priority stakeholder segments, and responding to unsolicited medical requests. Additionally, the Director will lead advisory boards, handle inbound queries, partner in identifying clinical trial sites, support the Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) process, cultivate expertise, and provide leadership within the territory. Mentorship and participation in special projects are also key aspects of the role.
