About The Position

As part of the Anti-Trafficking Mobile Team, the Anti-Trafficking Clinician will provide clinical services for commercially sexually exploited (CSE) and trafficked children and adults. The purpose of this role is to ensure that victims/clients and their non-offending caregivers are provided with expert clinical services based on assessed needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s level degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or a master’s degree with a concentration in one of the areas of Counseling.
  • Experience with clients who have experienced complex trauma including sexual abuse and/or sexual exploitation.
  • Ability to provide services with low barriers to clients within the community, including in clients home.
  • Commitment to vulnerable individuals and families who have experienced trauma.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of child welfare issues to include trauma-informed care best practices and its implementation as well as cultural competency.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with victim and agency information.
  • Ability to build effective professional working relationships internally and externally and maintain professional and ethical boundaries with clients and staff.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail, and ability to multi–task and stay organized under tight deadlines.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team, sharing tasks as necessary, both as a team leader and as a team member.
  • Ability to solve complex, practical problems and effectively deal with complex variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Have had a personal conversion experience with Jesus Christ and been scripturally baptized.
  • Possess a sense of commitment to ministry through vocation.
  • Hold a sincere desire to seek God and His kingdom.
  • Demonstrate personal and devotional habits and practices such as Bible study, prayer, and daily meditation.
  • Be a member of a New Testament, evangelical church in the local community and attend regularly.
  • Engage in witness activities as a normal part of life.

Nice To Haves

  • LCSW/LICSW/ Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, LMHC, or LMFT/RIMHC license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy for youth and adult victims of human sex-trafficking and their non-offending caregivers, as applicable.
  • Employ evidence-based interventions and tools including, but not limited to, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and/or Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT), as needed.
  • Develop and implement individual clinical treatment plans for clients.
  • Document and report to referral providers in accordance with treatment goals.
  • Complete mental health screenings and biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention care to support the immediate needs of clients or victims.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call schedule as assigned.
  • Participate on multidisciplinary teams to present cases for proper treatment.
  • Complete documentation as required by funding entities, courts and referral sources in accordance with department and organization policy and procedures.
  • Provide consultation to referral agencies as needed to ensure appropriate interventions to meet the needs of CSE clients or survivors.
  • Facilitate or participate in seminars and workshops as directed.
