Step into the Anodizing Process Start your shift in our Lake Zurich, IL facility by bringing a complex electrochemical process to life. As the Anodizing Process Technician at Geremarie, you’ll orchestrate a fully integrated anodize line that keeps precision aluminum parts flowing to leading marine and recreation brands. You’ll partner with advanced automation and rely on hands-on craftsmanship to hit tight tolerances, fast turnarounds, and consistent quality. Requirements

  • Comfort working in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following documented processes
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and communicate in English for safety and training
  • Capacity to stand for a full shift and lift aluminum parts as needed
  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Initialize and power down the anodizing line at the beginning and end of shift
  • Select process recipes, load programs, and input part numbers into the control system
  • Conduct a preflight inspection of racked parts—verify setup, placement, and paperwork
  • Watch the line’s vital signs: temperatures, voltage, tank levels, and dwell times
  • Run in-process checks, including coating thickness measurement and color verification
  • Perform chemical dosing and DI water additions per specifications
  • Respond to alarms, diagnose issues, and take corrective action
  • Handle preventive care: clean tanks, sensors, and filters to maintain reliability
  • Log work and results in Global Shop using electronic logs and work orders
  • Uphold all safety, quality, and PPE requirements without compromise
